ORGANIZATIONAL & MANAGEMENT RESOURCES
ISO CERTIFICATION
On
March 3, 1999, we became ISO 9002-certified. This certification
is universally considered to be the premier quality management
system in the world. This certification requires that all of
our systems ranging from customer service to shipping be documented
and followed on a day-to-day basis. Every six months an ISO auditor
audits our procedures to ensure we are in compliance. Compliance
with ISO 9002 guidelines assures that the quality of our products
and services are the best in the uniform industry.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our
mission is to ensure that every customer experience with our
company is positive. This applies to everyone, from the direct
users of our products and uniforms to the individuals who deal
with our customer service representatives. To ensure our customers
are satisfied, we perform telephone surveys on a routine basis
and address any customer concerns immediately. On every order
we ship, we also enclose a comment card. This card goes directly
to the president of the company. A sales representative or customer
service representative follows up on every issue indicated on
these cards.
IN HOUSE EMBROIDERY
& SILKSCREENING
To
improve customer turnaround time and satisfaction, we have multi-head
embroidery and silkscreening capacity. These top-of-the-line
machines allow us to ship stock items within 5 working days and
rush orders within 24 hours. Because we embroider and silkscreen
in house, we’re able to control the consistency of our
customization and ensure it meets our quality audits.
This in-house capability also allows us to ship
out small uniform orders in a timely manner. We also design and
digitize logos for our customers. These logos are always sent
out for customer approval before an order is started.
BARCODING
To
improve control and turnaround time on orders, we’ve implemented
a bar-code tracking system. This system was designed to keep
track of every uniform order within our facility and help speed
up the order fulfillment process.
At any given time, we have several hundred ship
tickets for orders being processed through our building. These
tickets accompany the garment and instruct personnel what work
needs to be done to the product or uniform, i.e., embroidery,
silk-screening or hemming. Every evening these tickets are scanned,
and then a report is generated. The Operations Department reviews
this report, and any missing or problem tickets are identified
and corrected before the start of the next shift.
Within the next several months, this bar-coding
system will be linked to our web site so customers can track
their orders within our facility. Based on the location of their
order in our distribution center, we can tell customers when
their order will be shipped.
