OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS - ORDER PROCESSING
Receipt of Orders:
We receive orders by several means - phone, fax, mail, Internet,
and EDI. Orders that require manual entry by customer service
are audited for accuracy before being released.
 Order
Picking:
The order pulling areas are set up as teamwork stations. We have
teams of four to five people working at each station. Each team
is capable of shipping at least 200 complete orders per day. The
orders are printed with each uniform garment set up in a pre-assigned
picking sequence. This enables our pullers to achieve significant
efficiency.
Inspection:
Once orders are pulled, they are inspected for accuracy by our
final assembly inspector. We are shipping orders with a 99.7% accuracy
rating.
Turn Around
Time:
Non-stock items are ordered from the manufacturer, and stock garments
are assembled for shipment. In-stock items generally ship within
3 to 5 business days. Non-stock garments generally ship within
10 to 20 business days.
With uniform programs that are set up with minimum
inventory levels, the orders ship 97% complete. This assumes
that the inventory levels are set correctly to maintain the proper
stocking level needed to fulfill order volume.
Expediting
Process:
At the end of every day, a report is printed to show what orders
have shipped complete and which partial shipments have gone out.
An expeditor is given this report on a daily basis to research
the back order delays and resolve any problems within the next
business day. This expediting report is reviewed by the General
Manager daily. Once a week, a report is generated that shows the
status of all orders open in the system over one week old. This
report is reviewed in the same manner as the daily reports and
expedited.
